LAST Summative--Photo Series--Due 1/21 (3)

One of the more difficult tasks of an artist is to create their own visual "problem." Are you up to the task? The last assignment will be up to you to figure out! A series of 3 photos should be on your blog before class 1/21 (Thurs) along with an ARTIST STATEMENT (see below). The images should be linked in some way (concept/subject/theme/technique) with the intent of achieving a "fine art" image.

You will be graded on:
*Artist Statement: On your blog, write a paragraph(s) on any 3 of the following questions: 1) What have you learned this quarter about yourself in regards to taking pictures or about digital photography/photoshop in general? 2) How would you define "fine art photography"? 3) What are your goals in the future in regards to photography? 4) After viewing many different images, is there a particular style, technique, artist, subject matter, etc. that you are drawn to or are inspired by? 5) Tell how your interest in photography began.
ALSO, EVERYONE MUST CONCLUDE WITH AN EXPLANATION FOR THE INSPIRATION/MEANING OF YOUR SERIES. What are you trying to communicate and how are you doing that?

*Technical merit: Clear focus, correct light exposure (avoid "noise") and adequate color adjustments

*Composition: Visually balanced with dominant focal point and overall unity

*Content/Creativity/Quality: Series shows a unique approach and is successfully communicated through artistic choices in subject matter/color choices to produce an image of high quality
